My name is Görkem.I come from Turkey and I am sixteen years old.Now I live in Iskenderun,a littlecity in Turkey.Iskenderun small coastal city and Iskenderun people are warm.

I am 1.81 tall and I am thin.My eyes are dark brown and I wear glasses.I have got short and black hair.I usually wear sport clothes.

My father’s Mustafa and he is businessman.My mother name is Filiz.She is a housewife.I have got a sister.Who name is Ipek.She is a student at middle school.

Now I am studying at Istiklal Makzume Anatolia High School.I am at third class.I am sociable and friendly.I love making people laugh and laughing other people too.I have many hobbies.I love playing tenis and PS3.My PES partner name is Mitat.We are invincible.This year I haven’t got enough time the practice my activity. In my free time I meeting my close friends.I am keen on football.My favorite football team is Galatasaray.I want to be an architect.

I think Comenius Project is very good.Because I learning different culture and I meet a lot of people.

Valentina and Nevrete from Foligno (Mobility to Paris)

Hello! :D

We are Valentina and Nevrete, we are best friends from nine years. We both live in Foligno where we attend the Vocational Institute “I.I.S.Orfini”: and we arey in the third class of chemistry and biology. Our teachers say we are good students...

We are really happy and excited and we can’t wait to leave for the fascinating, elegant, historic, sophisticated, romantic, stylish, memorable, cultural, artistic, PARIS!

The one on the left of the photo is me, Valentina , I’m 16 years old. I was born in Matera but I live in Foligno. I came in Foligno nine years ago with my family: my mother Giuliana, my father Vito and my sister Eleonora who is 23 years old. I have also got one brother Emanuele , he is 5 years old.

I'm not a very tall girl, I have long straight hair and brown eyes. I am a very romantic girl. I’m very sociable and also a reliable friend; I always listen to friends when they are in trouble, and I usually try to give them sincere advices. I love animals especially horses, and I have a dog and 4 parrots. During the weekend I go out with my friends in the town center. I like practicing sports, I did athletics for four years but now I stopped, I like playing volleyball and climbing with my school sport group.

In my free time I like listening to music, chatting with friends on the internet (facebook), and watching TV, especially romantic movies.

The one on the right of the photo is me Nevrete, I’m 17 years old. I was born in Albania but I have been living in Foligno for ten years with my family. When we came in Italy it was a bit difficult to integrate but now it is ok, I’ve learnt Italian, I’ ve got a lot of friends. Sometime I miss my country but I like Italy.

I’ve got a one brother and one sister, his name is Jacopo and her name is Sara. I’m a girl cheerful, sociable and lazy... I’m quite tall and thin, I’ve a long, brown, straight hair and green eyes.I really like listening to music in general, I like pop music, house... And I love Eminem and David Guetta...

In my free time I go out whit my friends in the town center, and I like reading, the last books I read are those of the saga of Twilight.

Hi there,

I’m Sebastino Peruzzi, I’m 16 years old and I come from Italy. I live in the centre of Italy, in a small region called Umbria. Its capital is Perugia and its most famous town is Assisi.

We are four in the family: my father Umberto , my mother Katrin, who is German, my younger brother Ottaviano, and me. We also have a dog and a cat living with us.

I play basketball in Foligno, the same town I go to school. I love basketball, it’s my favourite sport and since I’m very tall (1,94m), it’s suitable for me. I don’t like football, I don’t think it’s an interesting sport.

I love music, reading and food. My favourite singer is Eminem but I also like softer stuff like Take That and Robbie Williams. And my favourite food is – of course – pasta and ... kebab.

I'm tall, I have curly brown hair and brown eyes. I'm funny,a bit shy and funny. My family consists of my father, my mother and my older brother. I go to school to Joan Ramis Ramis.

I like going out with my friends, listening to rap music, reading books and watching TV. I love tattoos and everything connected with them.

I don't like dancing, because I don't dance very well. I hate people smoking around me.

My hobbies are playing computer games and playing poker with my friends.

2. General Meeting - Portugal (8th - 13/15th May 2011)

Hello dear partners,

The second general meeting of our project will be held in Portugal - Ferreira do Zêzere, where is our school (School EB2/3 secundary Pedro Ferreiro).

This meeting will be held 8 to 13 of May 2011, but it could take up until 15 of May with a visit to Lisbon and Sintra.

Our school is located in a small village, in the center of Portugal, distinctly rural, but surrounded by beautiful landscape and near a big lake, conducive to water sports and green tourism.

The week will be dedicated to differents types of tourism, and we are preparing for you a set of activities that will please you for sure... Surprise!!!

We are all trying to accomplish a great meeting in Portugal.

Melek from Iskenderun (Turkey)

My name is Melek. I’m the second child of Hasan and Muna, being born in Syria in 1994. I’ve got three sisters whose names are Betül, Eriç and Zeynep and two brothers whose names are Ali and Zülfikar. Nobody ever could solve the mystery of this largeness from the first paragraph of the introduction. But don’t worry I‘m gonna keep the confusions away. Let’s keep going…

My father is a vet. He was born in Turkey but he went to the university in Syria and he met my mother there by a friend of him. By the way my mom is Syrian and she’s arabic language teacher of literature. So they got married and u know we did our entrance to this world.

We lived in Syria until Betül, my big sister, was six (school age). Then we came to Turkey. I remember many things of those years. When I started to the school, I could only speak and write Arabic. I didn’t even know how to say my name in Turkish. I used to feel as if I was from another world. It took me a month to be capable to speak and write Turkish properly. I was only seven years old then. During the period of my learning on my own, I never felt bored nor tired of it. I guess to my childish way of thinking it was enjoyable. Every time I remember all these, I can’t stop jealousing of my patience of old time’s.

Anyway, I am seventeen now. I grew up and became more experienced about life. Especially when I had to be away from home and started to live alone with my sister for the school, I became aware of my responsibilities. Well, I don’t like to rave about myself but I gotta say that I am a successfull student that’s why I had the chance of being a student of Istiklal Makzume High School.

About my hobbies and interests; I love to draw pictures, write compositions.. I enjoy reading books. I like spending time with my friends, my family and our pets Suri and Boddy too. I listen to Oasis (a british rock group), I’m sure you’ve heard about it. The first time I heard the solist’ voice it passed me by, but unfortunately the group separated the next year. So at least I think you had an idea about how much I’m lucky (!). By the way I am a huge fan of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, the Winchester guys. They’re fantastic. I gotta admit that I had drawn pictures with a head full of dreams and inspirations thanks to their show. I love to watch Jim Carrey’ comedies and Johhny Depp’ romantic films.

I am a quite person ıt’s because I don’t like to show or feel any worry, anger or excitement too much. I am a bit shy but I go out with people. I am not very talkative but I am frinedly. I can control my feelings and I try to think before speak or act. I am a determined person; I make firm decisions about the things what I am going to do. But sometimes I can behave obssessively and then everything goes bad.

Anyway, I wanted to take part in this project because I like this kind of social activities. Somehow it makes me feel better not to have spare time and to be busy all the time. Besides, I like meeting new people.

Actually, I would be a liar if I said that I am interested just in present. I also think about the past and future too. I’ d like to be a doctor. Because I believe that only with this branch I would be useful for myself and my family. To be honest I like pushing the limits of my abilities.

Aybars from Iskenderun (Turkey)

Hi I’m Aybars. I’ve a cousin who says there are slavs and caucasians in our grand-elders. Actually I’m the biggest child of a family which lives in Hatay for many years. My dad is a retired soldier, and my mom is a housewife.

Now I’m studying at Makzume Anatolian High School. I am at third class.

I have been playing classical guitar for 4 years but I couldn’t practice it for months. Besides I like listening to metal music esspeacialy metalcore, symphony metal and death metal. My favorite group is Apocalyptica. Nowadays I’m listening Amon Amarth and Bullet for My Valantine.

In my leisure time I’m doing kickbox. I like reading supsenser and fantastic novals. I read a comic paper called Uykusuz regularly. I like having a walk in the street with my close friends at night espeacialy in winters. I am keen on pc games. My favorite is World of Warcraft.

İn that project most important thing for me is contacting guys who are from different cultures but maybe got similar humour. It is also good side of Makzume: metropolitic relations. I believe in that contacting people who are from different cultures will beneficial for my characteristic.

I'm Hande.I'm seventeen years old. I was born in Ankara but i live in Iskenderun. My father is a soldier so I lived in differents city. I'm studying at Istiklal Makzume Anatolia High School. I have got long and straight hair, brown eyes. There are complex aspects because i'm not tall. I'm young daughter of my parents. So I'm more naughty than my sister. I'm sociable and friendly. But sometimes I'm very agressive. I love voleyball. But I can't pratice. I am going to start playing tennis. I like travelling and learning different culture. I love books. In my free time I like reading books, meeting my close friends, hiking with friends or my mum. I want to run a tourist hotel in the future. I think Comenius Project is going to be a very good start for my career.

Menorcan crew to Paris

Dear teachers and students,

the menorcan crew to Paris consists of four students (Gabi, Karina, Yannick and Dani) and three teachers (Llorenç, Lluc and Miquel). Gabi and Yannick are 16/17, Karina and Dani 15/16 years old. The introductions letters of Gabi and Yannick are posted in this blog and in the Englisch blog. Karina’s and Dani’s writings are going to be published very soon. I’ll send a document to Paris, to Foligno and to Iskelderun with the whole names of all of us, with Identity Document Number, ages and email addresses so that you can communicate with us. By the way, is Poland travelling to Paris?

As maybe you know we haven’t classes these days, from 3^rd to 9^th December. The flight space is closed because of the air traffic controllers’ strike. I have a flight to Barcelona and can not fly.

Finally this morning we had the wonderful news: after a challenging "Admission to Mobilities Test", during an official cerimony in the Headmaster's Room, our teachers gave us the so long- desired "Travel To Paris Certificate "!

Pen Friends, Project Blog and Blogs for Foreign Languages (II)

Dear Colleagues,

I have already introduced you Yannick and Gabi, two of our four students who are going to travel to Paris in February. I’m going to do the same with the other two students, Karina and Dani. They have already written their own introduction letters and I’m going to publish them in the Project Blog. I'll also send you the email adress of this four students as soon as possible. On the other side, we are three teachers travelling to Paris. I have joined the group myself.

Can your mobitity students to Paris or to Foligno in April please do the same? Let them please write an introduction letter about themselves (name, origin, family, hobbies, school, interests…) in order to post them in the Project Blog. This will be a way so that mobility students get to know each other. It would also be very nice if hosting students in Paris and Foligno wrote an introduction letter too.

You can publish any other students’ writings in the blogs for foreign languages (English, French and German). Maybe we should also think about the possibility of creating another blog, a Spanish Blog, since at least Portuguese and French students are learning Spanish as a foreign language.

Finally we are also thinking about the convenience of using eTwinning as a platform in order to bring our students in contact via Email. In that case you should first of all register yourselves in this website. As far as I know Burkhard has already created a profile. If all teachers participating in the pen friends activity had a profile in eTwinning, we could also register our students and they could then communicate.

I’ve got light brown hair, brown eyes. But, I sometimes wear contact lenses. And I’ve got blue eyes.

I love fashion and shopping. I like wearing different and trendy clothes. I like to make ice skating.I lıke watching TV, going out, reading book and spend my time in PC.

In the future ı want to be a doctor. My favorite subjects are Biology and English but I hate P.E.

I fond of drawing Picture. I have a lot of awards about this subject. I don’t like doing sports.
