Calendar's Presentation

Our Calendar “Let’s Travel 2012!” is a mosaic of the European variety. It possesses the multicoloured creativity of Italian artists from Umbria, and the strength and precision of Portuguese artisans’ hands. It contains the force of fortified castle walls in Poland. It releases the flavour of a fresh croissant in a Parisian café and the smell of spices in a Turkish bazaar. It tastes like the rum made of brown sugar canes imported from the Caribbean Sea to a north German harbour. It beats according to the rhythm of breaking waves against the island’s cliffs crowned by a Mediterranean light house.

François, from Paris, travelling to Turkey

Hello Everyone!

My name is Francois HEANG. I’m from Paris, France.

I'm eighteen years old and I’m an only child.

I’m glad to be in the Comenius program, it lets me discover other countries and cultures. As I talk to you right now, I feel so excited and curious about that trip! I couldn’t even imagine that one day I’m gonna go to Turkey… It’s AMAZING!

So what else can I say? I have cambodian origins and I can speak quite well, I’m also learning how to write it, which is not simple!

What I like to do? I love sports such as football and basketball, even if I’m not good at it. I also like hanging out with my friends outside, Paris is a big city and you have the chance to do lots of things…

That’s about all I can say…

Gözde from İskenderun/Turkey

Hello!

I’m Gözde sönmez. I’m from Hatay, Turkey. I was born in İstanbul in 1995. My sunsign is aries. I live in İskenderun. It’s a very nice, hot a small city in the South of turkey, near the Mediterranean Sea. We can do lots of sport and cultural activities in İskenderun is a multi-cultural city, you can see a lot of different faces here.

I have got a family. My father is a civil- engineer. My mother is a housewife. She is beautiful and she can cook very delicious food. I’ve got a sister and abrother. My sister is Ezgi who is 12 years, My brother Metin erdem is 10 years old.

I’m nearly 17 years old. I’m a medium-height girl. I’ve got long, wavy, brown hair and brown eyes.I like my eyelash, people love my eyes. I like wearing sport clothes. I wear glasses.

I like swimming very much, also I like dancing, listening music, reading, shoping. I usually meet my friends in my free time, we have great time when we meet. I love my friends very much.
My favourite singer is Katy Perry and I love her song Firework.
My favourite Turkish actor is Mehmet Günsür, who is very handsome.
My favourite film is “Letters to Juliet”

I’m a hardworking, ambitious, a bit stubborn, honest, trusty and friendly. I want to be a doctor in the future so, I ha e to study very hard to make my dream real. I like Mathematics and Biology. I hate rude and smugy people.

That’s all about me.
I want to meet new friends, that will make me happy.

Paweł, from Poland, travelling to Turkey

Hi. ;)
My name is Paweł. I’m glad because I can travel to Turkey.
Something about me: I’m 14 years old. I have one sister and one brother. I’m 1,73m tall. I have short blond hair and brown eyes. I’m a crazy, humorous boy.

I love music. I listen to music every day. My favourite types of music are: Hardstyle, Hardcore, Hardtrance, Dubstep and Metal :D. My favourite DJ’s are: Angerfist, Skrillex, Excision, The Prophet, Art of Fighters, Zatox, Tatanka, Flux Pavilion and more :) I love dancing Jumpstyle, Tekstyle and Melbourne Shuffle.

My hobbies are: Dancing, Inline skating and Skateboarding
I also like travelling and meeting new people.

It will be my first Comenius travel.
I hope that we will spend really nice time in Turkey.

Marion, from Paris, travelling to Turkey

I’m Marion Glanard. I come from France and I live in Paris. I’m 15 years old. I have one brother, he is 20 years old and one sister, she is 29 years old but I don’t live with her. My parents are divorced, and I live with my mother, but I see my father Wednesday and Saturday and Sunday.

I have one cat, he is grey and white. I found this cat in a park, he was lost.

I speak English and German.

I like : Video games, music, draw, animals… But I’m not a sportswoman!

This Blog

The project Blog contains everything related to the Comenius project “Let’s Travel!”: summary, objectives, activities, mobilities, project meetings, results, evaluation… It is a visual and dynamic online platform which illustrates and disseminates the project development through regular updating: writings, introductions, descriptions of places, pictures and videos on Tourism as a topic. All outcomes on the Blog are the results of students’ and teachers’ common team work at the seven partner schools.

The Garden in Portugal

Although uncompleted, coordinators from the seven partner schools decided to maintain the Garden in Portugal as one of the most emotive outcomes of our project. Seeds of plants from the local flora in each country were sent to the school in Portugal. Students of Tourism and Gardening from Ferreira do Zêzêre collected and let them germinate. They created a greenhouse, which was unfortunately seriously damaged by a destructive tornado at the beginning of 2011. A big part of the garden got lost.

Evaluation Questionnaires and Power Point Presentation

Three model questionnaires for mobilities were made, separately for guests (teachers and students) and hosts (students). Teachers and students who took part in mobility filled these questionnaires after each meeting and conclusions were compiled by Polish teachers to make our work better and more efficient. The most important conclusions from questionnaires were summed in the Power Point presentation which was presented during the last mobility in Spain, were all coordinators from partner schools were present.

7 Different Kinds of Tourism in 7 Different Countries

The seven partner schools of the Project “Let’s Travel!” did of Tourism a topic to investigate and analyse. They found out the characteristics, the means of transport, the baggage, the accommodation, the duration and the money required for seven different kinds of tourism and tourists in the seven partnership countries. They produced a considerable quantity of documents with information and pictures on activities related to cultural, historical, religious, natural, health, sport and educational tourism.
